Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to protect assets by executing safety programs, conducting surveillance, and reducing shrink. The role collaborates with the district AP manager to implement initiatives and apprehend individuals involved in theft.

Responsibilities include investigations, report preparation for prosecution, court/testimony, and ensuring compliance with laws and store policies. Strong integrity and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity, honesty and professionalism.
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.
• Operational knowledge of CCTV systems (DESIRED).

Responsibilities

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect internal and external loss within a store environment.
• Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings; apprehend individuals involved in illegal acts.
• Comply with all laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports for criminal prosecution.
• Identify and resolve conditions/behaviors affecting shrink, safety and profitability.
