Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center in Rosemont, IL, is seeking a Security/Loss Prevention Investigator II to protect company assets through surveillance, investigations, and theft reduction programs. This on-site role partners with the district AP manager to implement initiatives across the division.

You will conduct plainclothes surveillance, file case reports, coordinate with law enforcement, testify in court, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, honesty and professionalism.
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of retail asset protection experience.
• Operational knowledge of CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect loss within a store environment.
• Investigate internal and external theft; report findings to stakeholders; apprehend involved individuals.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Conduct physical security checks; make recommendations to prevent loss and improve profitability.
• Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports for criminal prosecution.
• Identify and resolve conditions affecting shrink, safety and profitability by auditing for compliance.
• Serve as liaison to identify and develop solutions to reduce waste.
• Complete thorough reports on all AP related activities.
• Testify in court and labor hearings on behalf of the company.
• Travel to division locations; work varied schedules including weekends.
