Job summary

Markel Corporation is seeking a claims adjuster to support management and staff with questions on account insurance coverage and provide first-level escalation for calls or complaints. You will monitor daily claim workloads and participate in the efficient processing of claims, including liability determinations on casualty or property losses.

The role involves title coordination for total loss claims, collaboration with lienholders and DMVs, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Adjuster License required.
• 0-3 years of claims adjusting experience required.
• US Work Authorization required.
• Markel does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage title coordination: acquire, verify, and process vehicle titles for total loss claims, coordinating with lienholders, DMVs and internal departments.
• Identify and pursue loss mitigation and recovery opportunities, including salvage and subrogation.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers, accounts and vendors regarding title and recovery inquiries and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with state laws, company policies, and industry standards; maintain documentation for audits and reviews.
• Assist with other duties assigned.
