Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking an Insurance Loss Control Field Representative to perform on-site inspections of property, general liability, and incidental auto exposures and to prepare reports for underwriting.

The role focuses on producing accurate loss control surveys that help underwriters select profitable business and assist insureds in loss control through recommended improvements. Travel within a 60 mile radius is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or loss control contractor.
• Understanding of property, general liability, auto and workers' comp lines.
• Excellent writing, organization, and computer skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Willing to travel within a 60 mile radius.
• CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM certifications are preferred.
• Uploading completed reports and photos via web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of properties for underwriting purposes.
• Prepare comprehensive loss control reports for underwriting review.
• Upload reports, photos and diagrams through a designated website.
