Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a Loss Control Field Representative to perform on-site inspections of property, general liability, and incidental auto risks, and to prepare underwriting reports for both new policies and renewals.

This role requires strong written communication, organizational and computer skills, with travel within a 60‑mile radius. Certifications such as CSP, OHST, ALCM or ARM are preferred but not required, and reporting can be completed through web-based systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience with a commercial carrier or as an independent loss control contractor.
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines including property, general liability, auto and workers compensation.
• Strong writing ability, organizational skills, and computer skills.
• Willingness to travel within a 60 mile radius.
• Professional certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM are preferred but not required.
• Uploading completed reports, photos and diagrams through a website or web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site loss control inspections for property, general liability and incidental auto; prepare underwriting reports.
• Provide high-quality loss control surveys to assist underwriters in selecting profitable business and helping insured control losses.
