Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus in Charlotte, NC seeks a Professional Mentor to provide long-term mentorship to 8–12 youth across school, home, and community settings. You will document progress, collaborate with families, and coordinate resources to support the whole family through a two-generational approach.

The role offers non-traditional hours typically around 11 am–7 pm, some Saturdays and evenings, with a focus on positive impact, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience with children or an Associate's degree and at least 3 years with children.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong written and oral communication.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet credentialing/licensing standards as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Mentor 8–12 youth in school, home, and community settings for 16 hours per month.
• Document goals, hours served, and contacts with families, teachers, and youth.
• Engage caregivers and partners using a two-generational approach to provide resources and referrals.
