A Long-Term Substitute Teacher opportunity is available at Hayden-McFadden Elementary School from 12/11/2022-1/22/2023.

JOB GOAL: To enable each student to pursue their education by providing instruction and appropriately managing the classroom environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a positive learning environment while delivering instruction and implementing lesson plans in line with District’s goals, policies and procedures for student achievement.
• Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
• Follow and support all District and school policies, rules, and procedures.
• Report to the main office upon arrival at the school building to determine the assignment of the day.
• Supervise students to ensure their safety and welfare.
• Report any student-related injury, accident, illness, or discipline problem to Administration immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.
• Provide written reports on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
• Maintain the confidentiality of the position including all student and school personnel information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the building administrator.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 60 college credits is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Massachusetts Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Those pursuing a career in education are preferred.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain appropriate dress and a professional appearance.
