Job summary

CSAGH seeks a Long-Term Substitute Teacher at the HCS Campus to maintain continuity in the classroom during the absence of regular staff. This per-diem/1099 role requires Faith-based alignment with CSAGH’s Statement of Faith and Articles in the Constitution.

The substitute will follow lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and support students with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality. Availability for short-notice assignments is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and genuine interest in student learning.
• Ability to follow directions and collaborate with educators and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage classroom dynamics and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Implement and follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Deliver instructional material and address student questions.
• Provide additional support to students as needed.
• Adhere to school policies and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
• Communicate with administrators and colleagues as needed.
• Be available for short-notice assignments.
• Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
