Job summary

BuffSci is seeking a dedicated Long-Term Substitute Science Teacher to provide high-quality instruction during an extended teacher absence. You will deliver standards-aligned science lessons, maintain routines, and support student engagement in a structured learning environment.

You will collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction, supervise labs, and follow district policies. A bachelor's degree and NYS certification are preferred, with prior teaching or substitute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field is required.
• New York State teaching certification is preferred or required based on assignment.
• Previous classroom or substitute teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of science content and instructional practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
