Position: Lunch/ Recess Aide
Location: Harrington Elementary School
Job Goal: To provide student supervision to maintain a well‑organized, smoothly functioning school environment. Duties include supervising students during recess and lunch periods.
During the lunch period: provide assistance to students in opening lunch materials, cleaning tables, and monitoring social interactions.
At recess: closely monitor students for safety, social interactions and appropriate play.
The successful candidate will be able to work on a team of 8 recess aides to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. At times, assist teachers and other professional personnel in classroom, office, and library with miscellaneous tasks.
Reports to: School Principal
Work Days: 181‑day work year
Hours per week: 15 hours per week
Position Type: Part‑time
Salary: $9,904 to $9,904 Per Year
The Charles D. Harrington Elementary School is one of four elementary schools within the Chelmsford Public School District. Our school services over 500 students in Kindergarten through grade four.
