The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of:
Long-Term Substitute School Nurse
for the Fall of 2026

Purpose: The Pleasant Hill R-III School District is seeking an individual with RN or LPN license to serve as a long-term substitute for Pleasant Hill Middle School from August 25, 2026 to November 20, 2026.

Qualifications: Certification as an LPN or RN

Compensation: Starting rate is $21.40/hour for LPN and $23.47/hour for RN, with consideration given based upon experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes and protects the optimal health status of school-age children
• Provides health assessments
• Obtains a health history and keeps track of students' vaccination records
• Screens and evaluates findings of deficits in vision, hearing, growth, etc.
• Develops and implements a student health plan when needed
• Utilizes existing health resources to provide appropriate care of students
• Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness
• Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
• Works collaboratively with other nurses in the district
• Dispenses students' prescribed medications
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene
• Tracks visits to health room and documents all visits
• Other duties as needed to meet needs of students in building
