Job summary

Covenant Presbyterian Preschool and CDO is seeking a caring substitute teacher for our Mother's Day Out and Preschool programs. This role runs February through May, Monday–Friday, 8:45am–1:15pm, with potential for placement on the regular substitute list for additional opportunities.

Ideal candidates are reliable, enjoy working with young children (ages 2–3), and can step in as needed. Classroom experience is a plus; a Christian foundation is valued in our faith‑based environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and sit on floor.
• Must maintain a positive attitude while working with children and staff.
• Experience working with young children.
• CPR/First Aid preferred but not required.
• Background check required.
• Christian foundation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a loving, Christian environment that is nurturing & developmentally appropriate.
• Help with diaper changes.
• Assist with helping children during playtime outside on the playground or inside at the gymnasium.
• Help maintain the health and safety of the environment.
• Supervising and engaging children in a safe, nurturing classroom
• Assisting with age-appropriate activities, lessons, and play
• Supporting Christian values through words and actions
• Maintaining classroom routines, cleanliness, and order
• Communicating respectfully with staff and following lesson plans.

Covenant Presbyterian Preschool and CDO is seeking a caring, dependable substitute teacher to support our Mother's Day Out and Preschool programs. For February until May, Monday-Friday from 8:45am-1:15pm. Ideal candidates enjoy working with young children, specifically ages 2-3 yr. olds, are flexible and reliable, and can step in as needed. Classroom experience is a plus. Join a loving, faith-based environment where children learn and grow! This position will also allow you to be placed on our regular sub list, providing other opportunities throughout the school year, with other ages if preferred.
