Job summary

HTU seeks a Substitute Librarian to support preschool through eighth-grade students within a Catholic school community in Washington state. The role involves managing books, materials, and technology; supporting core instruction; and leading a middle school elective as opportunities arise.

You will organize book fairs, collaborate with colleagues through the PLC, and bring creative ideas to enhance library and instructional programs for diverse students and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or similar field; Master’s preferred.
• Current Washington or out-of-state teaching certificate, or ability to obtain one.
• Desire to work in a racially and economically diverse, faith-centered community.
• Effective communication with staff, students and parents.
• Ability to manage a classroom with respect and creativity.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $35,000 to $55,000 per year, determined by internal equity, market data, skills, experience, and certifications.
