Deer Park School District #414 is seeking a long-term substitute at Arcadia Elementary for 9/14/2026 to 12/7/2026. The role supports instruction, student development, and curriculum implementation in alignment with district guidelines.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements for elementary education and English. Collaboration with staff and adherence to district policies are essential.
Job Summary:
Fosters and enhances an effective learning environment; facilitates the development or revision of curriculum and instructional materials; establishes learning objectives and standards based upon general District guidelines; provides instruction, counsels, disciplines, and supervises to meet the individual needs of assigned students and evaluates student performance and progress.

Salary Range:Substitute rate of $160.00 per day for the first 20 days per DPEA. Long-term substitutes in the consecutive-day category shall be paid monthly at a per diem effective on the 21st day in the same assignment according to their placement on the salary schedule.
2026-27 Salary Range: $58,477 - $115,275 per year, depending on degree and experience.
Shift: 9/14/26-12/7/26- 7.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday.
Benefits: Employees anticipated to work more than 630 hours per year will be eligible for Benefits through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Standard benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability.

Retirement Benefits: Positions anticipated to work 70 hours or more per month for at least 5 months over a 12-month period are eligible for Retirement through the State Department of Retirement Services.
