Job summary

Braintree Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Long Term Substitute Specialized Paraprofessional to support students in the ABLES Program at Liberty Elementary School (K-4). The role works under the supervision of a special education teacher and related service providers to deliver intensive instructional support and help students access their education safely.

Experience with ABA-based teaching, data collection, AAC communication support, and positive behavior interventions is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience applying ABA-based teaching strategies.
• Experience collecting instructional and behavioral data.
• Experience supporting students with communication systems, including AAC.
• Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and supports.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized educational and behavioral programming under a special education teacher.
• Provide intensive instructional support to students.
• Assist students with activities of daily living as needed.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies to help access the educational program.
