Job summary

Swing Education is seeking a steady Long Term Substitute Special Education Aide II for Half Moon Bay schools. You’ll provide 1:1 or small‑group support to students with IEPs in inclusion or resource settings, working under the direction of the principal and certificated teachers. This on‑site, full‑day assignment runs for several weeks.

Qualifications

• Background check (Live Scan/fingerprinting) and TB risk assessment are required.
• Experience with positive behavior support strategies is a big plus.
• Experience in 1:1 behavior support for students with IEPs is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to students with IEPs in inclusion, resource, or other classrooms under the principal and teacher.
• Assist with transitions, bathroom breaks, and lunchroom routines to keep the day running smoothly.
• Help students access grade‑level instruction alongside peers.
• Model and implement positive behavior support plans and assist with de‑escalation as needed.
• Track observable behavior and academic data and share with the classroom team.
• Perform clerical and classroom tasks as needed by the school team.
