Job summary

Swing Education is seeking full-time, long-term special education substitute teachers in Santa Rosa, CA. You will support students with IEPs in a consistent classroom setting and help maintain routines across the assignment.

Qualifications

• Valid Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential, OR a valid California teaching credential or substitute teaching permit.
• Background check (Live Scan/fingerprinting); reimbursed in your paycheck after your 10th day of teaching.
• TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Follow students’ individualized education plans (IEPs) and support their goals for the full length of the assignment.
• Be the steady, familiar presence that students who rely on routine can count on every day.
• Collaborate with case managers, aides, and related service providers.
• Step in with instruction and classroom management when a lesson plan isn’t left for you.
