Job summary

Principal Teachers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Reception/Year 1 teacher to cover a maternity leave in a small village primary school in the Nidderdale area. The role combines Reception and Year 1 with about 18 pupils, starting 2 November 2026 through 22 October 2027.

The post offers long-term supply continuity with support from a GTA and SEN GTA. Experience delivering Little Wandle phonics is highly desirable, and PT provides competitive daily rates and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a mixed Reception/Year 1 class.
• Ability to work with a GTA and SEN GTA in-class setting.
• DBS update service or DBS within last 12 months accepted.

Responsibilities

• Cover a maternity leave in a mixed Reception/Year 1 class.
• Deliver Little Wandle phonics where required.
• Provide continuity and stability for the full academic year.
