Poudre School District is seeking a Paraprofessional II for Special Education at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, CO. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist general or special education teachers with instruction and materials.
• Support students with significant needs, including personal care, social skills, and mobility.
• Monitor students in classrooms and common areas; enforce safety procedures and assist during transitions.
• Provide health-related support such as hygiene assistance and feeding under health plans.
• Use assistive technology and communication devices to support student learning.
• Maintain detailed records of behavior and progress; help with IEP-related documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, nurses, and staff to implement plans and crisis responses.
• Assist students in developing self-regulation and daily living skills; promote independence.
• Attend training on de-escalation and behavior management; participate in meetings and professional development.
• Adapt quickly to student needs and cover various settings as required.
