Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Forestview Middle School (grades 5-8). This temporary full-time assignment runs from 10/26/2026 to 01/22/2026, with 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

The role reports to the Building Principal and offers sick/ESST benefits and accrues leave. The substitute will implement approved curriculum, document progress, and communicate with students, parents, and administration regarding goals and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Prior middle school teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of district curriculum and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons aligned with district curriculum.
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents and administration.
• Create a safe, engaging learning environment and manage classroom behavior.
• Collaborate with middle school staff to evaluate and adjust curricula.
