Mounds View Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a long-term substitute position. The role runs full-time Monday through Friday with a start date of December 4, 2026 and an end date of April 30, 2027.

Pay ranges from $240.00 to $293.00 per day, with sick leave and personal time off prorated under the labor agreement. Ideal candidates hold a MN teaching license in Special Education, can work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, and are knowledgeable about due

Formación

• Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and families.
• Understanding of due process procedures and special education law.
• Experience with conflict resolution in school settings.
• Training in behavior management and crisis response.
• Knowledge of state and federal data privacy rules (FERPA/HIPAA).

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to due process guidelines and support evaluation decisions.
• Serve as case manager: develop/maintain IEPs and coordinate meetings.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal rules and confidentiality laws.
• Provide direct instruction to students and support IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education staff on curriculum and assessments.
• Support paraprofessionals in implementing student IEPs and progress reporting.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
• Advocate for students with disabilities and participate in staff development.
