Bay Bluffs- Emmet County Medical Care Facility seeks nurses with geriatric, end-of-life and/or palliative care experience to deliver compassionate, dignified care in a warm, home-like setting. You will assess residents, monitor conditions, administer medications, and communicate clearly with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing.
• Current state license as an RN/LPN
• Proof of current CPR certification

• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psycho-social, and environmental needs of residents
• Assess residents’ conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medication as prescribed by the resident’s physician
• Provide effective communication to residents, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals

Bay Bluffs- Emmet County Medical Care Facility is currently seeking nurses with geriatric, end of life and/or palliative care experience. With a total team approach, we combine dedicated administration with an experienced professional staff to offer a variety of services and programs for our residents, ranging for short term rehabilitation to long-term and dementia focused care, and End of Life/Hospice care.
