Job summary

Alameda Healthcare & Wellness Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide long-term care respiratory services. You will operate IPPB, oxygen devices, nebulizers, and ventilators under physician orders while documenting results in resident charts.

Responsibilities include explaining treatments to residents and families, assessing needs, and ensuring safe, effective ventilation and airway management. California licensure and NBRC credential are required.

Qualifications

• Current California Respiratory License.
• Credentialed by NBRC.
• BLS Certification; ACLS preferred.
• Must be able to work under stress and in emergency situations.
• Proficient in basic computer use and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Explain purpose and procedure of treatments to residents and caregivers/family.
• Operate respiratory care equipment per physician orders (IPPB, oxygen devices, nebulizers, ventilators).
• Perform chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques as prescribed.
• Maintain respiratory care records and report resident responses to treatments.
