Job summary

Phoenix Pharmacy Solutions in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Long-Term Care Pharmacist to join our professional team.

You will dispense prescriptions, collaborate with physicians, nurses and facility staff to optimize therapy, and ensure compliance with LTC regulations. You’ll also lead pharmacy technicians and support quality initiatives across the operation.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Louisiana and in good standing.
• Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience administering immunizations and long-acting injectables.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with LTC regulations and electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Processing and accurately dispense prescription orders
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to optimize medication therapy
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and long-term care pharmacy regulation
• Provides direction and guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff
