Job summary

Qualifications

  • A four-year combination of education, training, and/or progressively responsible experience in a social services setting demonstrating interviewing and data gathering skills.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Business Administration, or other related field.

Responsibilities

  • Interview clients, obtain facts and documentation for applications/recertifications for public assistance.
  • Evaluate information and apply program rules and criteria.
  • Explain eligibility requirements and rights to clients and their representatives.
  • Review information for accuracy, request documentation, verify data.
  • Enter data into automated systems and ensure accurate eligibility results.
  • Communicate with clients, co-workers and other agencies in writing and verbally.
  • Perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all applicant and recipient information.
