Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. invites you to join as a Cook in a long-term care facility. You will prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents, following planned menus and recipes, while maintaining quality, taste, and appealing presentation.

The role requires a high school diploma, a current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior cooking experience is preferred and you will work in a collaborative, resident-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Must follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies must be complied with.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep the kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
