Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated hospital cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will ensure meals are prepared safely, follow prepared menus, supervise sanitation, and assist with serving while maintaining smooth coordination with dietary staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen sanitation, preparing large-quantity meals, and following recipes and portion controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year cooking in hospital or long-term care.
• Must obtain ServSafe Certificate.
• Ability to read recipes and follow procedures.
• Ability to supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and follow menus and portion guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures and prepare pureed foods as needed.
• Work cooperatively with staff and assist serving meals.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and sanitation standards maintained.
