Job summary

The New Hope-Solebury School District is seeking a dedicated Long-Term Substitute Autistic Support Teacher for the Lower Elementary School in New Hope, PA. The role starts immediately and runs through TBD.

You will plan, deliver, and adjust data-driven instruction to meet IEP goals, implement SDI, collaborate with general education teachers and specialists, assess progress, and maintain clear communication with families and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
• Valid PA Special Education Certification (PK-12 or PreK-8/PreK-4).
• Strong knowledge of early elementary curriculum and foundational literacy/numeracy development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mandatory PA clearances prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and modify instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Implement IEPs with fidelity and SDI.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to foster inclusive classroom.
• Administer assessments and track progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and administration.
• Maintain student supervision during transitions and non-instructional times.
