Job summary

Mercer Milling Premix Company, a division of Triple Crown Nutrition, Inc., is seeking a Logistics & Transportation Coordinator in the New York area. The role coordinates daily logistics operations for a feed mill, working closely with the Production Planner and Warehouse Manager to monitor orders, coordinate transportation, and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coordinate transportation and schedules.
• Experience coordinating shipments and delivery timelines.
• Familiarity with trucking fleets, freight carriers, and railcar logistics.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly with production, warehouse, drivers, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate order tracking and delivery scheduling with Production Planner and Warehouse Manager.
• Plan routes and optimize Mercer truck delivery routes; assign daily schedules to drivers.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound freight, including LTL, FTL, and CPU shipments.
• Oversee railcar logistics and ensure proper loading verification and paperwork.
• Maintain DOT compliance and manage related documentation.
• Manage rental fleet availability and scheduling; coordinate with vendors as needed.
