Job summary

G&W Products is seeking a Traffic Control Clerk for the Fairfield, OH warehouse. The role focuses on tracking shipments, coordinating routing, and maintaining precise records to ensure efficient freight operations.

The position supports office and warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, and requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, 3+ years in logistics, and knowledge of transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or traffic management.
• Knowledge of traffic or transportation regulations and compliance standards.
• Forklift certification required within two weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Track and document movement of goods, vehicles, or freight, including inbound and outbound shipments.
• Process and prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, permits, and invoices.
• Coordinate scheduling and routing to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems.
• Communicate with drivers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Provide customer service regarding tracking, delays, or shipping inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Monitor and report on traffic patterns, shipment status, and logistics costs.
• Attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and tasks.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with transportation management software for tracking, data entry, and reporting.
