Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a motivated Forklift Driver to support the Contract Logistics operation in a Mississippi distribution center. The role involves operating forklifts to load/unload, stage, and move goods, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, at a pay rate of $18.50 per hour, paid weekly. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior warehouse or logistics experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or 3PL preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers or similar equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with RF scanners and WMS encouraged.
• Strong attention to detail; able to verify inventory and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, store, and transport products.
• Load/unload trailers and containers; ensure product accuracy and minimize damage.
• Pick, verify, stage, replenish, and pack orders using RF scanners and WMS.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report issues promptly.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counts as needed.
• Follow safety, quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced warehouse.

As a Forklift Driver at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play an important role in moving products safely and efficiently throughout the distribution center. This position works Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour, paid weekly. Your equipment skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practices will directly support inventory accuracy, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

You will operate powered industrial equipment to load, unload, put away, replenish, stage, and move products based on daily operational requirements. You will also complete required system transactions, inspect equipment, and work closely with warehouse team members to keep goods flowing through the operation.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable operating material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This individual should follow procedures carefully, communicate effectively, and maintain accuracy and productivity throughout the shift.

• Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying product information, reporting discrepancies, and supporting cycle count activities.
• Follow all safety, quality, and productivity standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

What we would like you to bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or 3PL experience preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, or other material handling equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately handle products, verify inventory, and follow work instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, safely lift and move materials, and maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
