Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA is seeking a Logistics Team Lead to support the Section Manager by coordinating daily priorities and supervising warehouse activities on the 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6:30am–5:00pm).

You will oversee inbound/outbound processes, train staff, and ensure accurate inventory and safe operation of equipment. You will need at least 6 months of logistics experience and familiarity with MACH 1/Warehouse Management, SAP, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Logistics experience
• Team Lead or Supervisor Experience
• Intermediate proficiency with MACH 1/Warehouse Management
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and SAP is desired

Responsibilities

• Establish daily priorities, providing feedback to supervisory team on employee performance
• Perform and/or coordinate the employee training on work techniques and promote continuous improvement
• Assist the Section Manager in performing material handling and warehousing functions
• Verify quantities, count parts, fill orders, package parts
• Maintain related records or reports as required and resolve discrepancies
• Access and update information for receiving, counting, and order processing
• Perform housekeeping functions; use mobile equipment as required
• Report defects and need for repairs on mobile equipment
• Assist Warehouse Associates in resolving issues
