Key Accounts Manager (KAM) Support Representative - Logistics

General Description
The KAM Support role works closely with the Key Account Manager(s) to ensure the smooth execution of account programs, accurate product flow, and timely communication between suppliers, internal departments, and key retail accounts. This position supports sales growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency by combining account coordination with data-driven logistics support.
This role operates with minimal supervision, and the expectation is for the individual to establish procedures for how and when to complete tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in managing communication and program execution with key accounts.
- Launch and monitor new product rollouts and support KAMs in securing customer acceptance.
- Track account-specific promotions, pricing, and product availability.
- Help maintain and update sales reports, KPIs, and client-specific insights.
- Support field team and KAMs with client presentations, proposals, and performance summaries.
- Coordinate and track Purchase Orders (POs) through internal systems and with external suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability and prevent overstock/shortages.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and sales teams to manage deliveries and product flow.
- Forecast inventory needs to use historical data, sales trends, and seasonal insights.
- Analyze sales, logistics, and inventory data to support strategic decision-making.
- Generate and maintain accurate records of forecasts, PO tracking, and account updates.
- Identify supply chain inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field, preferred; or 2-3 years of related experience in logistics, supply chain forecasting, or inventory management.
- Experience in the beverage distribution industry, preferred.
Required Knowledge And Abilities
- 2–3 years of experience in account coordination, logistics, or sales support.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or forecasting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of basic sales principles and supply chain operations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving.
- The ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Physical Demands
- Office-based with occasional visits to retail, warehouse, and customer locations.
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Periodic travel (local or regional) may be required.

- Possible exposure to warehouse settings, where moving equipment and inventory may pose safety risks.

Special Certifications And Licenses
- Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
- Certified Beverage Professional (CBP), Certified Sales Professional (CSP), food/beverage safety certification(s) (e.g., ServSafe), preferred.
