Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) offers internship and co-op opportunities to high-performing college students who want meaningful hands-on experiences in their fields of study. Interns/co-ops rotate through Logistics & Storage (L&S) components to gain exposure to the business segments and assignments with increasing responsibility.

Participants work on-site and may travel to support various MPC/MPLX operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Concurrent enrollment for the duration of the experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver’s license for work-related travel (15-35%).
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to work.
• Authorized to work in the United States with the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
• MIN - $33.54 per hour / MAX - $42.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope.
• Engineering oversight.
• Technical design.
• Cost estimating.
• Schedule development.
• Evaluating and summarizing bid sets.
• Construction supervision.
• Safety leadership.
• Coordination with operations groups.
• Project documentation.
