Qualifications

• Earned Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• 0 to 3 years of related experience.
• Successful completion of a Marathon Petroleum (MPC/MPLX) internship/co-op is required.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with affected departments to vet resource estimates, schedules, and safety impacts.
• Supports detailed design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Prepares bid requests for material, labor, and equipment and evaluates proposals.
• Manages multiple projects from conception to commissioning and start-up.
• Acts as a safety leader, leads project safety meetings and energy isolation procedures.
• Troubleshoots operational issues and optimizes processes.
• Participates in project safety reviews such as HAZOPs and PHAs.
