Job summary

Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Project Engineer within MPLX's Logistics & Storage Engineering group in Findlay, Ohio. You will manage a portfolio of projects from concept to start-up, ensuring safety and quality while coordinating with multiple departments.

You will lead design reviews, prepare bid requests, and support implementation across facilities, traveling up to 25–35% with a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in mechanical, civil or electrical disciplines.
• Strong academic performance with related internship experience.
• Zero to three years of related experience.
• Internship/co-op with Marathon Petroleum/MPLX required.
• Valid driver's license and work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of projects from conceptual design through start-up/close-out.
• Vet resource estimates, schedules, and safety/environmental impacts with affected departments.
• Support detailed design reviews to meet engineering standards.
• Prepare bid requests for materials/labor/equipment and evaluate proposals.
• Lead safety meetings and uphold core safety values; support HES goals.
• Troubleshoot and optimize processes; participate in hazard reviews.
