Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, transportation, or logistics.

• Proficiency in MS Excel; ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with inland transportation by rail and/or truck.
• Monitor information in MSC IT systems and Power BI.
• Liaise with intermodal customers, US customs, and MSC departments globally.
• Analyze data and implement strategies to improve processes.
• Provide timely responses to inquiries about shipments and statuses.
• Escalate complex issues to the supervisor when needed.
• Anticipate problems and apply effective problem-solving approaches.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting customers with matters related to inland transportation of their cargo, by rail and/or truck.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitors information using MSC proprietary IT systems, MSExcel and Power BI.
• Liaises with intermodal customers, US customs and various MSC departments globally as needed.
• Communicates quickly and effectively with respective vendors.
• Analyzes data and considers performance modifications and implements strategies to support process efficiencies.
• Provides timely and accurate responses to all inquiries regarding transportation statues and updates.
• Observes corporate guidelines when addressing vendor and customer inquiries regarding shipments.
• Escalates unique or complex issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution when necessary.
• Anticipates potential problems before they arise as well as having problem solving skills to solve any unforeseen issues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
