Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Logistics Specialist in South San Francisco, CA, on a 100% onsite basis. The role focuses on hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug product distribution, and inventory management with strict SOP and regulatory adherence.

You will handle shipping, receiving, documentation, and cycle counts while supporting a safe, compliant work environment and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0–5 years of experience in logistics.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and documentation.
• Ability to meet TSA requirements, including successful bg check.
• Ability to complete the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product sample shipments.
• Manage international shipments, including documentation and proper packaging.
• Receive and dispense finished goods, WIP inventory, and packaging components.
• Pick, pack, and ship clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinations.
• Process rejected, returned, or expired drug products for destruction.
• Coordinate and schedule destruction activities with approved sites.
• Maintain the inventory control system and perform cycle counts.
• Operate material-handling equipment and keep areas clean and compliant.
• Access internal systems and RF scanners for accurate data entry.
• Help train new team members and propose SOP improvements.
