Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support end-to-end movement of materials including hazardous materials, R&D materials, and clinical drug products. You will manage shipping, receiving, inventory control, product handling, and documentation to ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

The role is 100% onsite at the South San Francisco site, with a 6-month duration and potential extension or full-time conversion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–5 years of relevant logistics, warehouse, inventory, or material-handling experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and inventory-control processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet TSA background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process shipments involving hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product samples, including international shipments.
• Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation and ensure materials are packaged appropriately.
• Receive and dispense finished goods, WIP inventory, and packaging components to and from manufacturing facilities.
• Pick, pack, and ship clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinations.
• Process rejected, returned, and expired drug products for destruction.
• Coordinate and schedule product destruction activities with approved destruction facilities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for drug products and related materials.
• Use internal systems, databases, and RF scanners to complete accurate inventory transactions and documentation.

Contract Duration: 6 Months — Potential Extension or Full-Time Conversion

Pay Rate: $21.42–$29.93/hour (W2)

Position Summary

The Logistics Specialist supports the end-to-end movement of materials and products across hazardous materials, R&D materials, clinical drug products, and inventory operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, compliant, and timely execution of shipping, receiving, inventory control, product handling, and documentation activities in accordance with company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process shipments involving hazardous materials, R&D materials, and product samples, including international shipments.


• Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation and ensure materials are packaged appropriately for transportation.


• Receive and dispense finished goods, work-in-process (WIP) inventory, and packaging components to and from manufacturing facilities.


• Pick, pack, and ship clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinations.


• Process rejected, returned, and expired drug products for destruction.


• Coordinate and schedule product destruction activities with approved destruction facilities.


• Maintain accurate inventory records for drug products and related materials.


• Perform inventory cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.


• Use internal systems, databases, and RF scanners to complete accurate inventory transactions and documentation.


• File and maintain logistics documentation in accordance with corporate record-retention policies.


• Safely operate warehouse and material-handling equipment.


• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant warehouse and work areas.


• Become proficient in applicable SOPs and perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.


• Identify and recommend updates or improvements to SOPs when appropriate.


• Participate in training and onboarding of new team members.


• Follow all applicable safety, quality, hazardous-material, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• 0–5 years of relevant logistics, warehouse, inventory, or material-handling experience.


• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and inventory-control processes.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.


• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.


• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Ability to meet TSA requirements, including successful completion of a background check.


• Ability to complete the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• IATA certification.


• Experience with international shipping documentation.


• Experience handling hazardous materials.


• Experience operating warehouse/material-handling equipment.


• Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical, or regulated environment.


• Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners.
