Job description

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods, materials, and equipment across the supply chain. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Specialist also assists with procurement activities and monitors tariff developments that may impact sourcing and logistics strategies.

The position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager. This is a salary position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
  • Monitor carrier performance and resolve transportation issues or delays.
  • Maintain records of logistics activities, including shipping documents, customs paperwork, and inventory logs.
  • Collaborate with vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Assist procurement team with sourcing, vendor coordination, and purchase order tracking.
  • Track and report on tariff changes and trade regulations affecting logistics and procurement.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve service levels.
