Job description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing procurement, contracts, vendor relationships, pricing, logistics, and team development to support operational efficiency and profitability. This role ensures timely delivery of goods and services, accurate pricing strategies, and effective collaboration with project, estimating, and accounting teams.

This is a salary position reporting directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the supply chain team, setting clear goals, expectations, and performance standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback.
  • Build and deliver training programs for supply chain processes, systems, compliance, and operational best practices.
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Proactively resolve procurement issues and remove barriers that may interfere with success.
  • Collaborate with RAM operations management teams to procure all goods and services at the best price for timely delivery.
  • Assess job scopes and provide procurement suggestions; assist with quote development for new projects.
  • Understand the job quoting process, profit margins, and the impact of purchasing decisions on profitability.
  • Oversee procurement team and aide in best procurement practices.
  • Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies in coordination with Accounting.
  • Work with Accounting to confirm receipt of goods and services and ensure proper documentation for payment processing.
  • Monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Lead complex RFP processes for capital purchases, including coordination of technical specifications, vendor engagement, and commercial evaluation.
  • Manage customer pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases for equipment and services.
  • Support project managers with accurate and timely quote sheets for new and ongoing projects.
  • Work closely with Estimating to align rates, scopes, and terms with MSAs and project requirements.
  • Provide procurement input during bid development and proposal preparation.
  • Support RFP events for Rate Bases Contracts for customers by coordinating department responses, pricing, and compliance documentation.
Contracts: Management, Drafting, Review, Negotiation & Closeout
  • Manage, draft, review, redline and negotiate all contracts and subcontracts related to supply chain activities.
  • Ensure contract terms align with operational needs, risk mitigation strategies, and company policies.
  • Administer contracts throughout their lifecycle, managing amendments, and ensuring compliance.
  • Lead contract closeout processes, ensuring documentation is complete, obligations are fulfilled, and lessons learned are captured.
  • Develop and maintain supplier contracts, recommending modifications as needed.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and service guarantees.
  • Negotiate Commercial Terms
  • Develop new vendor relationships, ensuring qualifications, licensing, and insurance requirements are met.
  • Maintain necessary records, monitor supplier performance, and recommend actions to meet organizational requirements.
  • Monitor approval of vendor accounts and establish vendor credit and terms.
  • Oversee new customer credit approval and payment term negotiation and prequalification
Logistics, Tariff Monitoring & Training
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Monitor and report on tariffs, duties, and trade regulations affecting supply chain costs and sourcing decisions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for supply chain processes, systems, and compliance.
  • Build SOPs and training materials for MRO vs. Project work and other operational workflows.
  • Build SOP’s and training for subcontracts.
  • Train in Contract Management for field employees.
Systems & Reporting
  • Utilize ERP and contract management systems to track and analyze supply chain metrics.
  • Prepare reports on KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Support digital transformation and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or contract management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and contract/pricing management tools.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, tariffs, and performance bonds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in mining, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with contract structures like MSAs, performance bonds, and subcontractor terms.
  • Ability to manage reactive leadership environments with professionalism.
