Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Manager to ensure on-time, cost-competitive product delivery across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, overseeing receiving, storage, loading and finished goods movement.

The role includes contract management with 3PLs, inventory control to prevent surplus/shortage, transportation/yard management, warehouse safety, direct shipments to major customers, and ongoing cost-saving initiatives to optimize logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field.
• No experience required; 1 year SCM operation/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of Logistics Process, Inventory Management, Transportation, Logistics.
• Excel proficiency and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts with two 3PLs to drive on-time delivery and minimize cost; RFQ/RFP for new 3PLs if SEHA requirements aren't met.
• Oversee inventory to prevent surplus/shortage and meet delivery requirements.
• Oversee transportation/yard to ensure capacity and container quality for timely supply to customers.
• Maintain warehouse safety, equipment management, loading procedures, and HR concerns.
• Direct shipments to major customers (Lowe's, Best Buy, Costco, Aaron's) to save costs and coordinate with planning.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives across logistics processes and vendor changes.
