Manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Develop and lead end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods. Manage Logistics Costs to meet budgets and operational plans.
  2. Broaden knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical knowledge; still acquiring higher-level skills.
  3. Understand key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish work. Recognize how team work integrates with other teams and contributes to the broader area.
  4. Make decisions within a defined framework with some autonomy. Resolve issues requiring technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consult senior team members for issues outside of instructions/parameters.
  5. Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE. Explain technical information to others and may lead a junior team.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic experience in logistics.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in logistics or the radioactive pharma industry.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
