Job Description:

Logistics Specialist

• Location: Castle Cary/Paddington/Slough/Waltham/Plymouth - UK based
• Working hours: 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri
• Contract: Fixed term - 12 months
• Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

We are seeking a motivated Logistics Specialist to work with hauliers across Europe, managing deliveries for our European Key Accounts (EKA) within Royal Canin. The role involves coordinating with multiple haulier partners to deliver over 75,000 tonnes of pet food annually from our factories in Europe.

What are we looking for?

• Previous supply chain experience
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or transport management systems (ERP systems like Navision, 1NAV, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
• Logistics experience in transportation, warehousing, or 3PL management is desirable
• An individual motivated by operational excellence and continuous improvement in logistics

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a supply plan to ensure timely delivery from factories to customer warehouses
• Monitor and collaborate with external Logistics Service Providers to meet quality standards and resolve issues
• Build relationships to improve service, flexibility, and cost efficiency
• Lead logistics strategy to optimize costs and enhance service quality
