Job summary

Adecco is currently assisting a local customer in their search for a Logistics Specialist in LOXLEY, AL. This role offers a pay rate of $18.00 per hour and an 8.5-hour shift from 4:30 am to 9:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.

You will manage the backlog, enter loads in the transportation management system, coordinate routing and scheduling, and monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries, while supporting account managers and communicating updates to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog
• Enter and manage customer loads within the transportation management system
• Coordinate routing, dispatching, and scheduling activities
• Monitor daily shipments and verify on-time pickup and delivery
• Communicate shipment status updates to customers, receivers, and internal teams
• Take check calls from drivers and proactively address potential delivery issues
• Investigate and document shortages, overages, damages, and shipment discrepancies
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed
• Provide drivers with routing information and delivery instructions
• Support account managers by resolving transportation and service-related issues

This role is being recruited for by one of our Centralized Delivery Team and not your local Branch.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
