Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel Mississippi is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations within Contract Logistics, ensuring accurate handling, storage, and shipping of goods for diverse clients.

You will develop your team, drive key KPIs, coach staff, and implement continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with internal teams and customers in a fast-paced 3PL environment. This role requires overtime flexibility and a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of recent warehouse experience.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• 3+ years of GXP or GMP experience.
• Preferred forklift certification and at least 1 year operating powered industrial trucks.
• Experience with WMS Blue Yonder Swift Log.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the performance of your team through training, coaching, and motivation.
• Coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure full and efficient operation.
• Drive KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safe operations and secure inventory, and verify paperwork and records.
• Maintain product locator systems and support overtime as needed.

In this role, you will lead a team and have general responsibility for coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of your assigned area. You will have varying shifts due to client requirements. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help provide excellent service for our valued customers.

How you create impact

• Supervise and develop the performance of your team through effective training, coaching, and motivational strategies
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely feedback to team members
• Implement strategies to ensure the highest quality of work, optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity, and meet or exceed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
• Ensure safe operations and healthy environments for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors
• Verify paperwork and accurately complete all necessary records and reports
• Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage, all products are counted, and maintain our product locator system
• Help maintain the security of the warehouse and assure the integrity of inventory
• Implement continuous improvement action plans
• Be flexible to work overtime and perform other responsibilities as needed

What we would like you to bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 - 5 years of recent experience in a warehouse environment
• 3 or more years in a supervisory role
• 3+ years of GXP or GMP experience
• Preferred Forklift certification and at least 1 year of experience operating powered industrial trucks
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Blue Yonder Swift Log
