Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Shipping Technician in Kentucky to support material flow, shipping coordination, and inventory staging. You will move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods throughout the facility, coordinating with carriers to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and related equipment, maintaining safety and 5S standards while supporting production schedules and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documentation.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to follow established processes and complete tasks in proper sequence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification preferred.
• Commitment to safety, quality and organization.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts.
• Load and unload rolls and materials from trucks.
• Move materials between departments and stage for production.
• Coordinate with production to stage materials per schedule.
• Process and ship customer orders with carriers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; support 5S.
