Karman Space & Defense seeks a Shipping Agent in Salt Lake City to coordinate shipments, verify documentation, and oversee packaging and delivery of materials. The role supports a fast-paced supply chain and requires accurate handling of shipping paperwork and crates.

Responsibilities include carrier coordination, item verification, and maintaining clean, organized shipping areas. Candidates should have strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments by preparing and processing shipping requests.
• Arrange shipments with carriers, obtain approvals, package shipments, and update status.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to confirm documentation and approvals.
• Build custom shipping crates and assist with packaging and unpackaging as needed.
• Maintain organized shipping area and ensure supplies are available.
• Receive deliveries and verify item accuracy against packing slips.
• Verify paperwork is complete and obtain missing documents.
• Scan paperwork and maintain files (hard copy and electronic).
• Label items and deliver to recipients or Receiving Inspection as applicable.
• Operate a forklift to load/unload and move shipping containers.
