Job summary

Temco Logistics seeks a proactive Router to schedule and dispatch drivers and technicians for final-mile deliveries. You will open routes daily, monitor progress, and optimize routes with routing software to save time and fuel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in routing software and mapping tools with local knowledge.
• Excellent customer service with professional communication.
• Strong verbal and written communication to liaise with drivers and customers.
• Self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in logistics, dispatch, or route planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and technicians to designated locations based on schedules and requests.
• Open driving routes daily and ensure efficient planning and preparation.
• Monitor driver progress, track route schedules and delivery timings.
• Use routing software to optimize routes, saving time and fuel.
• Schedule and confirm daily delivery teams for deployment.
• Communicate professionally with staff, customers, and vendors as needed.
• Prepare paperwork for daily routes and next-day deliveries with accuracy.
• Read route sheets and plan trips to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and contact customers to address inquiries.
• Complete daily paperwork including delivery reports and route adjustments.
