Job summary

Marten Transport, Ltd. invites applications for a driver recruitment role across our nationwide operations. You will recruit qualified drivers, conduct phone and online interviews, and present the benefits and opportunities Marten offers to applicants.

You will manage the candidate through the entire process and coordinate orientation and travel for new hires. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and experience with recruitment in the

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Solid interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Email is expected.

Responsibilities

• Recruit qualified drivers, independent contractors, fleet owners, and trainees.
• Interview applicants over the phone or online for open positions.
• Present Marten benefits, pay, and equipment to applicants.
• Track applicants through the application process including DAC and MVR.
• Verify histories by contacting references via phone, fax, or letter.
• Make hiring decisions using established criteria for employment as a Marten driver.
• Notify approved applicants of orientation day and arrange travel.
• Aim for approximately 3 hires per week.
• Promote driver referral and other recruiting programs.
• Report issues and problems to Recruiting Supervisor as needed.
• Occasionally travel to recruiting events as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
